Can you use older BB chargers on Bold? I've always interchanged with my previous models with out an issue.
But then I heard the Bold battery was different?

battery can be different but charger stay the same,

Usb connector need 5v voltage...I think an old charger work properly with bold

Yes you can, exactly the same ratings on 8100, 8800 and Bold chargers.

I believe the Bold uses micro-usb port instead of the mini-usb on most current models if so then you cannot

Make great travel chargers to stick into my laptop bag.

I am using the same charger I had with my old Blackberry Nextel 7520. I got likely 10 new chargers in the drawer. They are all the same and will work fine!

What is the Bold's Voltage in per amp, is it 5V 1amp, max?

Any phone with that port seems to work. I use my BB charger at home and an old motorola one at work.

Hasn't blown up yet.
