Default Tracball Help

Please Login to Remove!

Im sure this info is around here and I dont mean to take up space so please help or point me in the right direction.

My Tracball stopped moving up when Im trying to make it scroll back up. Is this common? Is there a solution? My Curve isn't even worth my time right now.

Thanks BBF!

Here is what RIM recommends-- press the trackball and roll firmly in the direction it does not want to move.

Its still not working. I love the features but this phone is starting to irritate me to death! LOL

All my keys are rubbed off and sometimes it doesn't work at all, my vibrate for text doesn't work and now my tracball wont do what I want.

LOL Frustration!!

Thanks for trying to help.

Do you keep it in your pocket without the holster? Lint and dust is the leading cause of trackball malfuntion. Doesn't help your current problem but it's always best to use the factory sleeve. You can get replacement trackballs from HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center ß or Cellular Accessories - Nokia, Panasonic, Dopod/O2, Samsung, Mobiado, SonyEricsson, Tools, Acer, Accesso and there are instructions on here for cleaning your trackball.

It sounds like your device has had a rough life and needs some TLC. You can order replacement trackballs from Horizon Wireless and they can probably restore your keys as well.

BBForums : HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center ß

There are instructions here for cleaning the trackball too if you want to try it. Check the suggestions in this thread.

I'd suggest getting a case for your BlackBerry if you plan to keep and use it.

try cleaning it i just received a curve from a friend and she had alot of makeup on it and it was pretty easy just make sure you dont loose the small pieces. you will need a small slotted screwdriver. I just washed my trackball in soap and water and cleaned the gunk off of the gears with my thumb nail.
