Is it possible for me to turn off dialing from the Home Screen on my 8100?
If so, how do I go about doing it?

Hmm... there doesn't seem to be an option for that...

Press the green send button to go to your call log > Press the Menu key > Select Options > Select General options. It should be below Phone List View and above Show "My Number".

Ohh yeah, 8100 right. Suretype always throws me off

Correct - that option is not available on any Suretype based BlackBerry.
