Default Garmin Mobile vs AT&t Navigator (Telenav)

Has anyone compared the 2 GPS Program App's. I have always used Telenav and it has never failed me. Just wondering if Garmin Mobile has text to speech like Telenav, etc...

It's basically the same as Telenav. I find Garmin to be a little better with it's feature. Such as the easiness of using the Weather compare to Telenav, as well as Flight Status. I don't understand why have two Searches though, it has Google Local Search and Local Search. The google local search is more complete, while Local Search is useless.

I've been using Telenav for 2 years and I tried the Garmin 7 Days Trial. It doesn't have the option to Speak your Destination like Telenav, which is useful if you have a headset and while driving. But Telenav has not failed me, so I'm happy with Telenav.

If I don't have Telenav 4 years subscription, I wouldn't mind getting the Garmin since it's a one time fee for your device and it's non-transferable for $79 at Handango with coupon LUCKY20.

Maybe I'll put it on my Wife's phone, but I like to have Telenav on both phones so if my wife and I were to be separated, happens more than one occasion, I can send her my location so she can come to me with Voice Navigation. Garmin doesn't have that.

Nuff said, I think I will stick with the Telenav (AT&T Navigator). It hasn't failed me, so as the old saying; if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Thanks again.

Unless your company picks up the Telenav tab, the Garmin is just $80 on handango. Its a service vs. a one time payment. Both have their pros and cons.

I think Telenav is the best hands down. I use it all the time and love it.

I have both on my Bold and the one feature that keeps me coming back to Telenav is the integration with the address book menu. (Drive To). I prefer the non-AT&T Navigator version since it is about 200k smaller.

The Garmin is a great interface and changes to night vision automatically. Another very nice feature is the ability to change to different optimization modes like pedestrian which is handy if you are out walking in a new area. Either will work well for you.

Telenav auto-switch to night mode as well. Telenav also able to do a Pedestrian mode if you look for it on how to switch. Although switching to Pedestrian mode will take a lot of digging to the menu. Might not be as easy as Garmin, I forgot that part. Night Mode was embedded on the latest Telenav and first version of AT&T Navigator. They didn't have that option. But if yours doesn't work, go to the Preference and set it to Auto.

For those using garmin mobile, is there a screen option displaying average speed, top speed, moving average, total time, moving time, time stopped? Activates on the other garmin units by clicking on the speed icon on the bottom. Looks like this on conventional garmin units.
