Default Vodafone Pricing?

Please Login to Remove!

Guys - was looking at the Storm in a vodafone shop today (still only have dummy models) - but they did have pricing. 35 on a 24 month contract for 600min and unlimited texts. Seems a bit on the steep and long side?

Just on the best deals people had got? I guess vodafone can charge a premium for the Storm as only they have it?

You won't get any sympathy around here. As most people in the states would love to pay $70 and walk out of the store with a new device. But of course Voda will milk it for all they can.

Fair enough!

Still a bit steep for us over here. Even shortly after it was coming out, people over here were getting the Bold for free on 18 month contracts with similiar allowances for as low as 20.

24 months is also a very long contract, I suspect there's very little chance most of us will last that long without getting the latest and greatest Blackberry!

Lol. I agree completely. So are you going to have a go with the Storm or is it too expensive?

They have it for 40/m with 600 min, unlim text, unlimited data and push-email for 18 months. If you look at their SIM only - this package would put you back 30 per month (20 for mins and texts + 10 for push email and internet). So overall, it a good deal (not a fantastic deal though) because you get the Storm for ~180.

I've only just bought the Bold in September - I usually get itchy feet after 6 months, so I'll see in the New Year!

Yip - although I currently have a similiar allowance from O2 on their Simplicity tarrif for 20 per month and I can cancel the contract at any time! So, it would cost me 360 for the Storm!

I'll wait and may try to get one off eBay in the Spring and stick with my current O2 contract.

400 pay as you go
Better price then on eBay.

If I'm wrong, sorry, that was the price without contract.

Regards,
Rob

hmm, normally if you call up vodafone, and depending on what kind of customer you are, they can be lenient(speling ?) on what offers they can give you. having said this, i called up vodafone on the thursday before it came out, and asked them about what they could offer me, since i had been with them for a long time now...5 years? and they gave me a pretty good offer i would say. 30 per month, 600 mins unl texts and internet/email, on 18 month contract length. so effectively i get the 40 deal on 18 months for 10 less each month? - free phone too of course

i usually call them up if i want to change my phone/price plan. then on the saturday, i went in store to pick the phone up.
