Are they giving you the sim card for free or do you have a global plan? When I ordered mine I was told I cannot have a SIM card unless I activated a global plan.

The Sim card is free and already installed...as well as the 8gb memory card. Everything else the second poster mentioned is correct. I got mine yesterday. One thing to note...no OEM leather sleeve was included in the box (as it has been in every other BB I've purchased).

I believe the global plan just activates the global capabilities for the phone. There is a charge per minute when you use it globally, depending on the rates for that country. A list of rates can be found on the Verizon Wireless website. I only had to activate a regular Blackberry plan, which I already had with the pearl.

Nope. Got mine yesterday, no holster or pouch. Fit's pretty good in my 8830 case though.
