Read my original post. That has been done several times. I've even downgraded back down to .167 and it's still not working.

Can I delete all of the service books on the device and then try to resend them?

Was kind of frustrating. Push email was extremely slow (well anything is slower than when you are use to the emails coming through immediately). Funny that it was fixed by just changing from 3G to GPRS. Everything is back to normal again, however I am seriously considering downgrading. I'm in Sydney, Australia with the Optus network.

DSS597,

I read your post, but you said no email, no WiFi and no internet browser [only WAP].....this, to me, means the service books did not get sent down correctly OR after you sent the service books you tried to reload an old backup file.

You can delete all the service books from the handheld if you want, but I would just push them down directly from the BIS site and see what happens.

Well I'm dead in the water now. I did a complete wipe of the device with OS .167, resent the service books and they never came. For some reason my Bold just doesn't want to receive data, though everything else seems to work. I think I have a defective Bold. I had tech support on the line, and everything is provisioned properly. Everything was working fine yesterday, it literally changed out of nowhere.

I'm going into AT&T tomorrow to grab another unit.

I don't believe that upgrading to .185 on Friday, and then .190 on Saturday had anything to do with "frying" this Bold, but at least I'm putting this post on the record should it happen to someone else. We have been hearing others saying that their email has stopped as well. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Thanks Magnum.

Ah what the heck it can't hurt. As long as you follow the instructions you should not have a problem.

I've tried both and .190 is what I would choose - .185 was a complete mess for me

I had .185 before, always restart if I turn on the wifi, now I am with .190; this one is much better in; battery long live, faster booting and multitasking.
The only things bugs me is after you composed a new email its always go back to the main message folder, thats the only things that I dont like

Hey guys,

I have just received my 1st ever Blackberry, so sorry if these questions may seem silly but my 'options-->about' screen says I have the following 'v4.6.0.126 (Platform 4.0.0.135)'

Is the first number the OS & the second the firmware?

Also can I upgrade straight to .190 without upgrading to those inbetween?

Thanks all & for bearing with me

A member over at Howardforums said that the reason so many are having issues with their thumbnail pics not being displayed is because they are saved to device memory and not a memory card...but that shouldn't make any difference. Memory is memory...if you have plenty, you have plenty.

This, and other negative "features" of the .190 version are bugs pure and simple. The .190 beta had widespread issues...and apparently this "official" version will too.

Oh well...

I updated from the stock BB Bold (AT&T) straight to 190 without any issues and am receiving Google Email as push with no lag.
