false alarm, I don't know what it installed but the OS version has not changed. It downloaded 3 modules and installed them, i did a javaloader -u dir and i did not see a change in the version number for any of the files.
I had this update installed at least 3 times by now - but can not see any difference on the phone itself. I think that installing updates from application center somehow triggers this.
I think I know what it is, three modules are different between the OTA repository and the OS I downloaded from VZW and installed on the computer. They are ring tones, backgrounds, and some other module that is customized by VZW. So every so often the Blackberry desktop manager checks modules installed on the device against some online module repository, if it finds any differences, i guess in the check sum of these files, it assumes that they need to be updated and it does just that. They are the same version number, but something triggers this update.
Updating for me too. I didn't think to pay attention to the modules it updated until it was too late, but I think I saw background images, theme & ringtones.
Edit: I'm not seeing anything different. I looked in common files\rim\shared\loader and none of the files had been changed or modified today, so I don't think we got anything.
