Default OS 4.5 - Connecting BB to USB port in car stereo

Please Login to Remove!

When I was using OS 4.3. I could plug my BB (Pearl, 8130, 2gb) into the USB slot on my deck. The deck would recognize it, and start cataloging it, and I would be able to scroll through my folders, and albums, songs, etc, on the deck, and play them.

As soon as I upgraded to OS 4.5. The deck will no longer catalog the BB.

Any ideas?

The BB is setup for mass storage mode. I can plug it into the PC and view contents of drive.

This may be a silly question but...
Have you set the "Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected" to Yes?
You can find that under Options > Media Card

Wirelessly posted

I would also double check to make sure encryption is set to none. Just an idea.

What car do you drive?...that's awesome...bluetooth is generally the norm...but i've never seen a USB port...that's awesome since I can imagine you can charge it too!

I've got the exact same problem as mezer. I have a Kenwood aftermarket deck. Could it have something to do with the new hidden folders the Blackberry has put on the media card, "system" and "dvz_temp"? Could these be troubling the car stereo, I wonder?
