Default Not receiving BES Alerts anymore with 4.0 SP3

Please Login to Remove!

We've noticed since putting SP3 for 4.0, that we are no longer getting any BESAlert messages, namely when we reboot the server, we were always guarenteed 10-15 messages, now nothing. It all appears to be configured properely, but maybe my server is just on crack these days...

Are you still seeing messages reported in your event viewer after a restart?

Have you tried re-creating (removing and re-adding) the configurations.....stmp server, smtp address, user..etc? When all else fails do over..

Actually, I've found after every SP, I have recreate them anyway... But yes, they've been deleted, recreated, changed modified. Mostly wondering if it's just me, of if I should spend the next week troubleshooting this with RIM... Or if anyone had some inspired ideas.

Is your BESAlert service running?

If it is crank up logging for BES alert and see what the BESAlert logs say when events are written to the event viewer.

check and see how big the alert log files are. ever since upgrading, my average for 50 users is 15-20GB per day! going to report to RIM in a bit.
