Default Today Plus and Crossbar styles question

Please Login to Remove!

1) What's the difference between the two, they basically are today/zen combo themes correct?

2) How does one make a crossbar theme in plazmic 4.6?

[personal request]
3) Does anyone know how to make a clock like the external one on the Pearl flip? Basically, I'd like that as an animated wallpaper for the curve, possibly for a today plus and/or crossbar theme I have in mind, but I don't know how to make one. I'm a rookie when comes to themeing my bb. [/personal request]

1) Today Plus usually includes a separate screen that users can scroll to - main screen is the standard zen, the secondary screen is today.

2) With much patience. Depends which model you're theming. The Bold should be pretty easy, since Plazmic includes a sample crossbar composer file. Resizing it for different devices is a bit of work.

3) Not sure you could do this without a whole lot of java programming, and the ability to hook into the system clock. I honestly don't know whether this could be done, because I have neither the java programming skill or the knowledge of whether the system clock is available through an API.

I've just relegated myself to making plain old static themes (with as much twist as the GIMP will allow me). I've basically given up on any of the fancier Plazmic tricks.

HTH.

Thank you for your answers. I had a look at the sample today plus theme in plazmic, and it looks complicated for a beginner like me. Ditto for composer,... way too many features to figure out where to start. Not to mention Java programming.

Like you, I'm resigned to static themes as well for now. I like the clock on the external screen of the flip though. Hell, I'd make it the homescreen itself and use the menu button to get at the apps if that what it would take. But I digress.....
