Default Am Unlocking My 8320: How to Retain Themes and OS, But Get AT&T's Browser/Apps?

Please Login to Remove!

So, I have processed an OTA unlock request, and am just waiting for the code. I have an 8320 that had been on T-Mobile. The unlocking, I am definitely doing. The move of the phone to AT&T, I'm not so sure about (doing it right now that is), but if/when I do it:

How do I retain the latest/greatest OS, my themes, and yet end up with the AT&T application set, as opposed to T-Zones, etc?

I'm assuming it involves running DM and the AT&T "official" device upgrade, but what do I do with the vendor.xml and (possibly) other files to ensure that all customizations, themes, programs will remain on the device, but that T-Zones will be gone, and will be replaced with MediaNet, and anything else that AT&T supplies on the phone? Thanks!

once you unlock nothing is going to change. Just change your sim and put the imei and pin in the bis for att and you will be set. The att service books will be sent. You can load any 8320 os on any device just delete the vendor xml file and it will load. the latest official os is on sticky on the top of this forum the latest unofficial os is .124 which you can google and do the same steps. Of course if you wanted the ATT theme you will have to go thru some files which if you search forum you will find out how to do that.

Thanks coldconfession13! I'm already on that release, so when I'm unlocked and ready, I'll just pop the SIM in and proceed as you indicated.
