Question HELP!... please :)

Please Login to Remove!

i don't have the browser icon on my menu, browser i believe is what the internet icon is called.

this is the story, i had purchased a storm and two days after purchase it was stolen. so i went through the whole insurance process and got a new one. i activated it using the actual phone *228, and then then called to change me back onto the blackberry plan later that night. i restarted the phone to see if it would appear but it didn't. do i need to DL something or go through some setup to activate the internet access on it now or anything?? cause last time i didn't have to do any of that the icon was just on the menu.

i researched to see what the reason or how to fix this but no luck thus far.

thanks for any help in advance

Welcome to the forums.

Try going into Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Menu Key > Register Now.

Welcome to the BBforums.

You need to either login to your BIS account, and Send Service Books.

Or call VZW and ask them to do to so.

You also need to make CERTAIN that your new device PIN is connected to your VZW BIS account, not the old PIN.

You may find this helpful. How do I resend my service books? - BlackBerryFAQ

If you call Verizon, you would need to ask them to resend the service books to your device.

i did the register process... it said sending registration message. i then promptly recieved a message stating that my device has been registered with the wireless network, but still no interwebs icon.

i'm gonna try the above steps as well right now. good info people thank you!

This will explain BIS probably quicker and easier than me trying:

General BIS FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ

This is the Verizon BIS site.

Yes, you should use the same credentials when you originally created that account.

Once logged in, you will need to click on change device and put in the PIN/ESN numbers of the new storm you have. Once you do that, click on the resend service books link.

When you originally created your @vzw.blackberry.net account did you go through the website, or did you use the email setup icon on your device?

Try going back into the icon and creating a username and password. Once created, use that username/password to log into the site.
