I have a few light scratches on my 7100t. It's mostly noticable when the screen is off. Is there anyway to rub these out or polish it up? I really don't want to spend $100 on a new screen. The whole device only cost $50 when I got it and now you get $50 back when you buy one. If anyone knows of a solution, I'd love to hear it. Thanks

You can use a buffing wheel with a mild compound. Carefull not to get it too hot!

For a first pass you could try using Brasso metal polish on the screen. I know it sounds a little odd, but if the scratches are very light it has actually worked for me in the past on other items like old phones, ipods, etc..

Buffing wheel - a wheel made of cloth that attaches to a side grinder or dremel
Buffing compound - an abrassive compound, the finer the better. You may use an automotive rubbing compound to start off with.

If you have someone who polished brass nearby stop in and ask them to give your phone a try. They will have the tools needed to get the job done. Have them skip the laquer treatment when finished though...
