I have the opportunity to purchase a jailbroken iPhone at a very reasonable price. I have a Curve, 8320, from T-Mo with blackberry data plan. Will an iPhone work under this plan with my current SIM inserted?
Just be careful, if you have a Blackberry data plan, you might get charged for not having the RIGHT data plan. My friend got burned from T-Mobile that way...
as DC said make sure it is unlocked not just jailbroken. Other than that it should work.

I've never had any issue from T-Mobile using my BlackBerry data plan with other phones...
No, jailbroken just means that you can run "homebrew". Basically unsigned code that doesn't have to meet Apple's requirements. (Accessing the iphone file system)
It basically opens up a whole new world to you as an iphone user. Tethering, emulation, and a ton of other apps that would have been rejected by Apple in a whim.
Unlocking the iphone is a completely different animal that requires jailbreaking. Well at least yellowsn0w does.
