I know in my messages when I get a text it shows the name and the message. When I reply it shows another message. When my message is replied to by the same person, another message appears. Is there a way to only show one sms message for the entire thread?

No. True threaded SMS where there is only one message and it's added to each time, rather than generating a new message, is how the Treo does it. That's the best SMS program out there IMHO. I hate how my BB inbox gets cluttered with 30 or 40 messages for a single conversation, but that's all we've got.
