In everyone's experiences do you really think pocket mac is worth the effort to download it?

in my opinion i think absolutely not.

I feel; if you don't have a PC you can't take full advantage of a BB. At least until they release desktop manager for Mac.

Is anyone happy with pocket mac? yes it transfers business contacts and calenders... but what about for the people that want new themes, want to upgrade their OS, and new pictures with no micro SD.

It's always worked well for me on my older PowerMac Dual Processor (1 GHz) from 2002. Newer Macs have problems with PocketMac, but for a free program and about a minute to download and another 2 minutes to install, it's definitely worth a shot.

PocketMac worked on mine, too. But I'll soon be getting MSv2 b/c of it's wireless sync capability. The only reason why I'm holding back is that RIM might release those Mac tools soon and that would make the $40 feel like $400!

Pocketmac worked fine for me until Leopard came out, then Pocketmac broke. Missing Sync advertised a Leopard upgrade before I saw a updated pocketmac so I picked it up. The only problem I've had, and this has been fairly recent, is I have had two contacts disappear out of my phone at different times. I'm not sure a sync did this but it is my first suspect.

I went from a 8320 to a Storm with no syncing issues. My first Storm froze up and never worked again. I was able to sync my second Storm with no issues.

Overall I'm pretty happy with Missing Sync.

When I got my Storm I gave my daughter my 8320. She is using pocketmac to sync to her Mac Mini, which still runs Tiger.
