I just switched from a Treo to the BlackBerry and was wondering if the BB has a feature like T9 or a way to help speed up writing a text and email?

The Treo had a feature that allowed you to select words as you were typing them. Example; if you typed to, you could select tomorrow ot tonight.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can create your own via AutoText. Go into Options > AutoText. There are some preset ones, add whatever suits you.

Options Autotext will allow you to specify some favorite abbreviations that would get spelled out, but I don't think there is anything directly like T9.
