Due to some (lots of) hardware issues , I had to exchange my 2 week old Bold yesterday. I noticed the new unit came with an applied screen guard while the old one didn't. Anyone else get a unit with one applied?

No big deal, just curious. Could be a refurb that got through without the factory noticing it.

Do you mean a screen guard like a third party item? Or do you mean the OEM plastic stuff?

Had the plastic crap on mine recently - same as on all electronics. not very useful.

Yeah, it just helps to make sure that the BB doesn't get scratched during packaging/ shipping. Just peel it off and forget about it.

This wasn't the standard plastic crap. Definitely not the "protect during shipping" stuff but not quite as good as the BSE skins I've been using. Oh well, as I accidentally left a BSE on the returned unit, guess it's a wash.....
