That type or architecture is very useful for multi-BES environment, because it allows for easier administration of users, servers. In the event of one BES failure, you can move users over to the available BES. All transparent to the users. If however, the BES servers are all located in remote sites, then you'll have to look at your inter-site connectivity to determine the latencies between them.

yes, I know.
If the start situation is:
1 Bes with MSDE inside of it, is there a way to extract this DB, and easily convert to SQL?
If it's not simple, I've to set up a 2d BES, with SQL instead of MSDE. Then It's simple to migrate the users from BES1 (MSDE) to BES2 (SQL) till there are no user in bes1? In this case after all users became BES2 users, i can fire up the first bes, and reinstall it as SQL.

And... a 2nd question: what are the specifics of the remote server that has the SQL server embedded? SQL server 2000, 7, 8 or what?

Thanks for your response

I add also an image of what I need.

Thanks
