Default Software to turn Storm into Remote Control

Please Login to Remove!

I was wondering if this software exists or if someone has heard anything about it coming out. One of the bluetooth profiles is A/V Remote control. It would be cool to sync it to my ps3 and use it for my movies.

Yes I have heard. It is Sunday a slow day here and you might want to wait more than 4 hours before becoming frustrated.

Just a note; Unify4Life does not officially support the Storm, but does not say it won't work, just that it may have unexpected results.

A quick Google search turned up the same page that I think Shaun found. But as I read the ad, it says that the Storm is compatible.

I read the program wont be out till: "The Garage|Shadow will be available for sale on April 6th, 2009."
CrackBerry.com âxxx8364;xxx8220; The #1 Site for BlackBerry Users & Abusers
And: "We are currently preparing for the next release of the AV Shadow on February 23rd." from the Unity site.

and a full write up here:
Review: Unify4Life BlackBerry AV Remote | CrackBerry.com

I think this is going to be an awesome program, Im not seeing that its out yet, can anyone confirm a source to buy now?

Also the Unity4life site reflects:
Compatible with the following BlackBerry® smartphones:

BlackBerry® Pearlxxx8482; | 8100 / 8110 / 8120 / 8130 / 8220 Flip
BlackBerry® Curvexxx8482; | 8300 / 8310 / 8320 / 8330
BlackBerry® 8800 Series | 8800 / 8820 / 8830 World Edition
BlackBerry® Boldxxx8482; 9000 and BlackBerry® Stormxxx8482;

For the A/V Shadow and the Garage Shadow.

I dont have any inside information and hope not to sound like Im "Knowing more" just going by what I read and my own excitement waiting for this device.

It is not publicly available. I have been using the device/app (AV|Shadow) with my Bold for the last 3 weeks, and it is very good. More information will be coming soon, including my review on BlackBerryNews.com

Very kewl, Ill be watching for the review and release.

Im hoping it has or will have the ability to "learn" remotes. May be via bluetooth or something. Im a remote nut and have lights, fans and just lil stupid stuff on remote.

To TroyDBrown: I wasn't frustrated.

I'll check the website when I get home, I hope I will be able to control the ps3 with it. I didn't even recognize my phone when I tried to add it.

Is there any free download that can turn my storm into a remote for my TV?

Wow this seems really cool. It now says that the A/V Shadow is compatible with the storm.

Does your TV support Bluetooth?

The Storm does not have an infrared port on it.

I just bought one a couple of days ago because they are marketing it that it works with the storm. However, they dont have the software ready. only the device and software for previous blackberry devices. Im not too happy about it. I sure hope they are planning on having the software ready soon

same app does that but you still have to buy the piece that converts bluetooth signals into infrared signals
