Default Streaming an MMS link

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

So iv'e been trying to stream a local radio station for ages but can't figure out how to do it.

I can play a direct stream such as Frisky radio( http://scfire-mtc-aa04.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1015 ) without a problem straight from the bb browser both over wifi & over 3G/EDGE. However I can't stream mms://212.56.136.20/Bay%20Radio . I understand that this is due to the fact that the mms protocol is not supported. I tried setting it up as a custom channel in ORB but still didn't work as the browser simply asked to switch to WAP mode for streaming & even when I accapted it failed. Is this a device or carrier issue & any idea how I can manage to stream this particular stream?

Best regards!

Gian

As far as I know mms:// is not a supported protocol on the BB.

Try adding at an online station in moodio.fm, or if you have it set up, Orb.

Edit:
Actually..someone has already added it to Moodio.fm
Go there and search for friskyRadio and add it to your list of stations.

Cool thanks! Just what I was looking for basically; something which re-encodes the stream!

Thanks a lot
