Question 8830 Dropped Connection with Jawbone

Please Login to Remove!

I am on my second Jawbone2 unit after talking with tech support at Verizon and Jawbone regarding my auto disconnect issues. Timing can vary on auto dissonnect and then unit will reconnect after a few seconds. I have been told that I have the latest software so that does not appear to be the probem and have done a repairing of units etc. Wondering if some other setting on phone is causing this problem as I know others that have same phone and bluetooth and not having this issue.

I had the same problem with mine so I exchanged it for a Jabra BT530 and I don't have the problem anymore.

The only issue I have with mine is dropping calls on UMA when I switch to EDGE on my Jawbone 2, this is a known issue and I am sure it has something to do with the connection being dropped ever so often. I have this happen as well at home, have never had it happen in the car and this thing is in my ear probably 10 hours out of the day. Never tried the Jabra, had BlueAnt and the plantronics and neither could touch the Jawbone 2 in noise cancellation so I will take the minor issues for the convenience.

I had this issue with both the original Jawbone and the Jawbone II with a Curve and a Bold. It seemed to drop the connection every time I received an email. It was absolutely maddening. I replaced the Jawbone with a BlueAnt Z9i, which is great. But when the Jawbone II came out, I tried that. Same problem. Back to the Z9i. Noise cancelation is probably not as good as the Jawbones, but the sound quality is superior AND, no more dropped connections.
