Default Any Way to Disable the Home Screen?

Please Login to Remove!

I am calling the home screen the very first one that you get to if you keep hitting the return button, the one that has only 6 icon choices. I have 0 use for it, it wastes a huge amount of my time having to constantly click into the "main menu" with all of the options. I know I don't get to the home screen unless I click the return button myself, but it's easy to accidentally do and I'd like to eliminate it all together.

Personally I think it's a bad GUI choice and is redundant and silly to even have the home screen when the next screen just has more icons. It's just adds a totally unnecessary level of navigation. I'm sure many will tell me I am wrong .

You could use a dimension icon theme.

Yeah. Find a theme that has all the icons on the home screen.

I'm not gonna call you wrong, but I would say that you may only use (regular users that is) only 6 applications (maybe 5 or 4) multiple times a day, and so the home screen is for people like that. not wanting to constantly press the menu key to get to an app that they use alot (messages for example) when one scroll and click could do it.

I love the "home screen."

If you learn all of the shortcuts then you really won't need the screen with all of the icons. I could actually delete all but 6 icons, I just counted, and have them on the home screen. Everything else is accessible via the shortcut keys. Less clutter for me and much quicker to navigate.

Just my opinion and experience.
