Default Having start-up problems after clean install of RIM desktop software

Please Login to Remove!

After I followed instructions for a clean install of the RIM desktop software, the desktop software installed perfectly as advertised. However, now on start-up, my wireless connection takes a longer time to load than before. Any suggestions on this? It eventually loads so I guess its not that big a deal, but like most people I hate waiting.

I had this same problem too. Both for the wireless connection on my laptop and even the wired connection on my desktop. It made the system startup take almost a minute longer! Happened with DM 4.6 and 4.7 for XP.
I thought I was the only one having these problems. It has been so frustrating for me I totally uninstalled the DM software and use google sync to make sure my calendars are all synched.
Anyone else have this happen or know what causes this?

Default Startup Problems after installing Blackberry Desktop software

I have the same problem and did some investifation. There seems to be a problem with the registry which gives Service Control Manager error EVENT ID 7009. with a "Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the Roxio Hard Drive Watcher 9 service to connect". No idea how to resolve any - anyone

I believe the problem is similar to the problems with reinstalling Windows OS on your computer.

When you do a clean install, there is still various data floating around and now you have less memory until you delete that useless data.

Unfortunately you cannot do the same kind of thing that you can do with Windows (go in and just delete the useless folders).

I suggest you do a FULL wipe (not a handheld wipe), and then reinstall the OS.

I made a ton of videos about it; I suggest you go check them out and follow the instructions!

I would get a registry cleaner and run that.

Usually a good place to start to clean out the clutter left all your programs.
