The Pluto looks great and very tempting. But if you want 3g get the bold, faster download speeds for the internet. It also depends how much internet browsing you'll be using.

Well, if they drop the trackball as part of making a touchscreen they may just as well scrap it now. That has been probably the single biggest complaing about the storm. I have tried it now twice and went back to the curve. Without a trackball AND without a real keyboard it just gets too time consuming to use.

They did, it's old internally. But a new Bold replacement is in works.

Koolaid,

I am confused by your statement.... Meaning they got rid of it but will be bringing it back or what?

Thank you for the clarification......(and for killing all of our buzzes!) So the million dollar question is will it include Touchscreen with a physical keyboard? trackball?

Guys,

This is what I posted a little bit ago if you scroll up....

"A good friend of mine was at a Roadshow last night and confirmed to me the Bold Touchscreen does exist and it's "Absolutely GORGEOUS!" Rogers will be getting it in September of this year!

Some details:
The back is the same material but almost a snake-skin look.
The keyboard is not curved anymore but cut straight across.
The screen extends down where the four large buttons and pearl USED TO BE and further up the screen where the ear speaker is pushed up and thinned.
It does have an accelerometer.
The screen is NOT CLICKABLE. (thank f*$#)"

He messaged me this information as soon as he saw it all while he was still at the road show. I then picked him up from there to give him a ride and he reiterated it all with great excitement.

So obvious it's much different from that picture and does have a larger screen to work with.

Touch Screen Bold??

Check out the new Blackberry App Store. The screenshots for SpeedTest show a Touch Screen Bold....

RIM Leaky Leaky...

No track ball. It is going to suck like the Storm. Plus all the software engineers at RIM are working the App Store and have no time to fix bad BB OS releases.

Aloha,

That definitely looks like the housing of the bold... but it definitely doesn't fit the description my friend gave me.

Great idea. Touch to select, type on keyboard to type. Perfect, best of both worlds.

I would like to see a smaller 3G device. Basically a smaller bold, more like the Curve. I find the Bold to be much bigger and clunkier (thicker/heavier) than the Curve.

Separately, is anyone else disappointed by the 3G speed and/or WiFi versus EDGE? I don't notice that much of a difference.
