I have a few applications I would like to have ported over to use on my 8700c. One is a voicemail player for a proprietary system. I have the source code and what not but my question is this. What type of programmer or coder do I hire to do this? What languages do they need to know?
The 8700 (like all current models) runs a flavor of Java called J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition). In addition, RIM has added various APIs that extend the Sun standard.
So, I'd suggest you find someone who is experienced in the design and development of BlackBerry apps (like me ). Failing that, look for someone with J2ME experience.
