Wirelessly posted (at&t BlackBerry Bold 9000)

Where is it failing at?

I have problems backing up my Bold as well. Every time I want to back it up, I have to clear out the browser data cache. Once I do that it will back up. Weird.

Options -> Security Options -> Key Store, Allow Key Store Backup/Restore set it to No

Then try to back it up see if that helps.

If not Try:

Instead of going into Backup go into Advanced and backup your more important databases, or try backing them up one by one till you find the one giving you the problem.

I had the same problem when I switched to the 8900 and had to upgrade my old DM so the 8900 would work with it. Then, I couldn't back up. It would go almost to the end, then I would get an error message. I uninstalled DM and reinstalled it from a clean download and all works well now.

Put in a new keystore password, just don't forget it.

You can also just cancel out the box when it comes up.
