I see there are many different os versions and I didn't realize this when I was shopping for my devise. I don't think I would have had much of a choice with sprint anyway, but still curious. How do I find my os and can I upgrade if and when available???

Perfect! And as to upgrading in the future? are ther firmware updates like on a PC? This is my first BB, so excuse me if these are dumb questions...

There are. All of the officially released OS's are posted on this forum. Check the sticky at the top of this forum for the most recent 8330 OS. It doesn't have to be released by Sprint. It can be released by any carrier as long as it's for the 8330.
