Default Malfunctioning buttons?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

Out of the blue, my Curve has started acting funny. Basically, when I press one button, it behaves as if I've pressed different button(s). For example, when I hit the 'back' key, it behaves as if I've typed 'hl'. One button that doesn't seem to be affected is the disconnect/power button. I've tried turning it off (that didn't work) and pulling the battery for five minutes (it seemed to be back to normal for about a minute, but then it started acting funny again). Please, please advise.

Thanks!

Hmmm. Nuke and reinstall the OS perhaps. Kinda sounds like some device I have dealt with that have had water damage.

Eek. To be honest, I had just washed my hands and not completely dried them, but is it really THAT sensitive?

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Only takes a small drop to create a short within the circuit

Remove battery and let it dry for several days! There are instructions in the FAQ for a wet BB. May already be to late but worth a try
