Default The browser that came with the Javelin

Please Login to Remove!

So I just got the Javelin an upgrade from my Curve 8320.

I noticed one thing that is really a for me. And don't know if it is just me and my settings or its not correctable.

Lets say I'm emulating Internet Explorer on the browser, and want to read an article, there is page view and column view. For some reason if I column view all the columns will squeeze into each other and overlap, making it impossible to read. If I use page view, than I'll have to zoom in to a font size that is easy on the eyes, but if the font gets big enough I'll have to do a lot of left and right scrolling to read an article.

Any way to fix this so that I can read it like the 8320 column view? That one worked really well.

And 2nd problem with the browser, I noticed that when I am in comment fields on websites, and try to enter a "long" comment, such as one with multiple paragraphs or what not, the text doesn't scroll to show me everything that I write. The comment box screen just kinda wanders off to the right than stops tracking what you are typing after you hit your first enter for a new paragraph.

Have you set the default browser view to columns? (Open browser; options; general properties; default view) That might help with the overlap; can't help with the comment box issue.

some sites handle the conversion better than others. I have one that I read a lot that puts a stripe down the middle of the page on the bb that must be a decorative edge for the main column on the pc version.

I've seen others complain of the text box issue, but seen no resolutions. sorry.

Opera Mini has it's downsides too. For instance, just tonight I got an link in an email which I copied to the clipboard but there is no way I can find to paste it to the address bar within Opera Mini. With the built in browser I can just shift/center click the track ball and it pastes or I can click the menu button and then select paste. This is more than a minor convenience to me as it's a common reason to use another browser for me. When I get an email and click the link in it if the page doesn't load correctly then my option is to copy the link and use another browser. Kind of eliminates the need for Opera if I can't even do this.
