Default Added a second BES to our BB Domain, trouble moving devices.

Please Login to Remove!

We've had two separate BB domains for a few years and we've just finished manually migrating all of the devices from one to the other so we could have them share the same config database. Now both servers are in the same BB Domain, but when I test moving my device from one to the other nothing happens. I click 'move user', then 'ok', and the activity icon (top/right) chugs away for a few seconds and then BAM, nothing. My device is not moved, and no errors are shown.

Any ideas? I haven't even started to dig through the logs yet, I just wanted to ask here first.

Did you check the BES logs located near here?

I've been digging through the ones on my local BES and I don't see anything that looks related.

You may not be receiving your new service books in a timely manner. Check options>security options>general. Scroll to bottom and check SRP ID of the BES you're on. If it still indicates the SRP of the old server, you haven't gotten your new books yet.

I had this issue when migrating a lot of folks. Either do a "resend service books" after you do the move, or possibly an Enterprise Activation. It was just taking way too long for the books to push down and I couldn't wait.

Edit: You can also view your service books and the SRP should be imbedded in each BES service book. I've even seen some of these update, and some of them not... until I did an EA.

Same with the remote BES, nothing looks out of place in the logs. I think we might remove BES from the remote server and start over.

Thanks, I'll check that out but even a new device activation is going nowhere on the 'new' BES so something else might be wrong. All they did at the remote site was change to our config db so there may be some old stuff left that's messing them up.
