Default Docs To Go help

Please Login to Remove!

I just inserted a microSD card (8gb for 4.3 8330), it formatted correctly, my PC recognizes my Blackberry, I have "Mass Storage Mode Support" ON, and "Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode" set to PROMPT.
I believe I have Documents To Go basic. It's a new phone and I haven't downloaded Sheets To Go or the Premium version.
I just tried saving a Word document to my BB, and I can't find it anywhere in the Docs to Go app.
Help please ??

Did you click on the "Open a Document Option" when you opened up Word to Go - then use the dialogue menu to navigate to the documents folder on your Media Card?

Ok, I highlight the Word To Go icon, click on it, the "Open a file" option is hightlighted, I click on that and it now highlights "Device Memory", I click on that and it takes me to a list of folders (ie, documents, music, pictutres, etc...), I click on the "documents" folder and it takes me an "Up" folder with a little green arrow pointing up, I click on that and it takes me back to the screen of various folders (Documents, music, pics, etc...).
On my PC the Word document is Showing up under the Blackberry (removable drive) and then the "documents" folder. It's just not on the blackberry.
What am I missing ? Do I need to buy the Premium edition to simply transfer a Word file ?

When UP is showing, that the next path. Look above that and it should say something like blackberry/media card/documents. Click menu, then select here. Or, go to home screen, open media app, menu, explore, media card, blackberry, documents, docname, menu, open.

No you do not need the Premium Edition. (You do need to register your Docs to Go to get the Sheets though).

Do what you did before. From what I have read you saved the document ot the Media Card and you browsed the Device Memory.

You will have the same folders on your media card (Documents, music, pics, etc...)

Navigating through the dialogue menu is a little tricky and funky but keep playing with it until you get to a screen that says:

Open File
Media Card
Device Memory
Click on Media Card > BlackBerry > Documents

Thank you ! Kjjb, the latter of your instructions worked like a charm. I was able to view and alter both a Word and Excel file (I downloaded Sheets). Any idea why I couldn't do that via the Docs To Go app ?

if you go through word to go with mass mode on, you will only see device memory... you have to unplug the cable, then you will see device memory and media card

So if I turn OFF Mass Mode will I be able to see the files under Word To Go ? as opposed to having to go through the Media app ? That's kinda lazy huh, I suppose I could just try it.
Thanks !

I did indeed answer my own question. With Mass Storage Mode off I CAN view either Word or Sheets To Go documents via the Docs To Go app, as opposed to having to go to the Media app.
Thank you all
