What are you sync'ing with? The only time I've seen this is one time I was sync'ing with Yahoo and something was causing this. I've never seen it with Outlook.

If the doubled entries are only on the blackberry, do a sync with Outlook, except select re-sync from Outlook to the blackberry.
If you have double entries in Outlook, too, I don't know what to do except go through the calendar somehow and remove the duplicates, then re-sync.
I don't have a clue what could have caused the duplication in the first place.

Do you use BES? if not blow away your databases for Calendar from the device then resync,
If you don't know how to erase the database here are the instrructions:
1. Open desktop Manager
2. Open Backup And Restore
3. Click On Advanced
4. You will see on the right hand side a populated list of device data bases. If the calendar is grayed out then you are on BES and it is synced with a server and you cant touch it. You would have to go into your calendar on teh BB and turn off wireless reconciliation on that calendar then reconnect to desktop manager to see it and not grayed out.
5. click the clear button and the calendar on the device will be gone
6. Sync with outlook again and you should be okay.
This can happen a lot when backing up restoring during a OS upgrade or device switch. It should merge duplicate entries but ends up creating doubles because it imports the backup into the device then syncs it causing the problem. It happens on BES with exchange once in a while too.

When the calendar entries double up, your default calendar has been changed. Go to Options>Advanced>Default Services and I would bet your CICAL (Calendar service book) has been changed. Clear out your device calendar using DM (Advanced) as instructed above, and then resync. Should fix it.

Lecter, sounds like you may have only done part a.
You've cleared the calendar data base on the blackberry handset, right? At this point your calendar is empty.
You now want to re-sync with your PIM application, but select options/commands that direct the sync to go one-way from the PIM application to the blackberry.
If you did something else and deleted all calendar entries in both places, I hope you have a backup file. If so, do a selective restore of the calendar and start over.

I've had this happen
I have had this happen to me recently and will follow the guidance provided here. Thanks for that.
Any way to remove a calendar alltogether? I don't need one of the two that seem to be on it.
thx in advance for your help!

Go to Options>Advanced>Service Books and look for the (CICAL) attached to the email address you do not want, and delete it. This will remove the calendar entry for that email address.

Thank you to everyone for your help. I upgraded OS and got the dreaded double entries. Once again, this is the best place for good advice!

Another way to delete all calendar entries is to go to calendar > options > in all caps type RSET

Hey all...
I'm still pretty new to the syncing, and in the couple months that I've been doing it no probs. Until last night.
I backed up my phone, which I normally do once a month or so, and now duplicate calendar entries for each calendar entry (which is a lot)! they're listed under two email addresses, and I went into the options/advanced/default services and changed it back to what I want.
I'm clear on how to delete everything out of the calendar, but not how to re-sync it back.
I'm using Google Sync... any assistance would help immensely.
Can somebody explain it in a little simpler terms, on where to go on my phone to do this? BTW I'm using a Pearl 8100 (hopefully for not much longer, just waiting for the Onyx to drop):
This is the step I'm not sure on:

as the 8100 runs on a OS version that is different from the bold, perhaps posting a thread in the 8100 section may get you better answers.
