I see what you're talking about. Looking into my messages folder of my Storm if I get a FB notification for a comment etc. it has a little face book icon by the individual message then when I open that message it goes straight to that comment already in the F.B. format from the app. Although a few times perhaps before this latest version of F.B. for my BB it would happen to me that opening the message would just lead me to a email style message with a link on it as you are saying. That hasn't happened lately though...It's working correctly for me now.
Good luck!

I haven't seen that yet.. Sounds like an intermediate problem.. similar to when I get certain email that are not HTML... but that happens rarely..
I would try re-sending service books when it does happen.

Faceboon 1.6 on May 28...
HOT! Facebook 1.6 Launching Thursday May 28th – Wall Viewing & Feed Support:
One of our secret agents just let me know that RIM is scheduled to launch Facebook 1.6 this Thursday. The exact launch is set for May 28th at 5pm EST from what I am hearing but RIM has been known to push these dates back. On the other hand this is the official date that they have already announced to their partners…

Yeah resending service books is a 'standard solution', however since FB App is sending/receiving data, maybe the error is somewhere else?
When I receive private message, I got to BB MEssages and read the FB message. Then if i want to reply i scroll down and there is the reply form. You got that right?
What about when its a status comment? Do you have the reply form at the bottom to submit comment???

Well, you are correct FaceBook is different. If you want to try a more non "Standard Solution" you can try the following:
On the device Options -> Security -> General Security, you will a FaceBook service listed at the bottom scroll down highlight it, hit the menu key and choose "Regenerate Encryption Key"
FaceBooks assigns a "BES-like" policy.. so maybe something is lost in translation and a new key needs to be created...

facebook apps takes over the CICAL books!
Happens to me even when I set my default CICAL - facebook always sets itself as default calendar.
Even when I tell Facebook not to use calendar under Facebook settings, it still does.
Tried deleting all CICAL's and setting my own CICAL but same result - must be a bug.

I didn't delete cical as it comes back after you resend your service books, I also want to keep facebook contacts sync to my berry as I don't carry the whole friends phone numbers in my address book.
# go to options on facebook 1.5 and uncheck Blackberry Calendar. Then Clear cache in facebook, and log out.
# go to options on the Blackberry and go to advanced options then go to default services and change the calendar (CICAL) to the default (ie google).
# Go to your calendar and note all your appointments that you wish to keep, (as the next step could delete them off your device calendar). Double check on google calendar website that those appointments are still there.
# Delete all appointments in blackberry calendar, by pressing xxx8216;RSETxxx8217;, that does not need to be in capital but those are the exact letters you need to put in when you are in the calendar and pressing the menu. For QWERTY users type normal, for Sure Type devices r is pressing the key number 1 twice, s is pressing the ? twice etc (go in to calendar, press the menu key, then options, that is where you would need to enter these four letters as a command)
# You will then be prompted to reset/clear the facebook calendar, AND the google calendar you have already on your device. Say yes to all of them as long as you have double checked your google calendar is up to date.
# Once deleted, do a soft reset, battery pull, or look for a program called quickpull.
# After rebooting try another google sync. If report says items deleted then go into your google calendar and re-insert them. Try the sync again. Then check to see they are under the right calendar.
# log back into facebook, ensure that blackberry calendar sync service is Unticked, then go to your options, advanced options, default services and see if itxxx8217;s still your google
After all this is done there are no duplicates of calendar entries, and they are both playing nicely.

It's nice to have chat integrated into the app, then you can keep all your accounts separate.

IM+ and JiveTalk have started to incorporate FaceBook chat, as good work around for now... I would 1.5 is lacking in some ways so I doubt we will see chat unless it gets a massive overhaul.

LOL, I love BeeJive on the BlackBerry and Trillian on my PC precisely because I don't have to keep all my acccounts separate! I don't see any logical reason to run 6 different messaging apps, just because some of my contacts are on AIM, some are on Yahoo, some on MSN, some on FB, etc. I want ONE integrated app to unify my messaging, no matter what the person on the other end is using.
