The first reset was when I was using apploader to load MeterBerry - so I guess that's a soft reset? I just did a battery pull and I now have 24.9MB free - so very similiar.

I'm already on the latest OS, .122? Unless you know of a newer one?

I'm running .114 v3 hybrid OS. Runs great, super fast. I only have had the storm for about a week but i love it. I did all the tweaks to make it run the best and it does.

Thought it was worth concluding this thread.

I've had the Storm for 2 weeks now. Much to my surprise, I think I will keep it and put my Bold on eBay!

I was still undecided until I upgraded to .131 earlier in the week. I now find virtually all the delays/latency have gone and its much snappier (still a bit of room for improvement though).

I really like the much larger screen, and the touch screen is becoming more appealing as I get used to it. I still can't type nearly as fast as I could on my old blackberry - but its steadily improving and I rarely write long emails anyway.

I will continue to look forward to further improvements with new OS's, but I have to admit I'm pretty happy with the Storm now!

Thanks for everyone's advice and telling me to give it some time - if it weren't for that, I would have gone back to my Bold within a couple of days!!

I thought it worth updating this thread. About two weeks ago as I struggled to get a two sentence email typed on the Storm, a recurring thought hit me - why don't I go back to a Blackberry with a keyboard?

A few days later after a bit of research, my new 8900 (bought off eBay) arrived. I have to admit, its great. While I do miss the big screen a little, the following make it up for it a few times over:
- generally much faster response times when doing anything or launching anything
- no bugs or annoyances that I've noticed so far
- A KEYBOARD! And of course all the keyboard shortcuts!
- WiFi
- weight - the Storm is a heavy beast and weighs almost 50% more

Even the lack of 3G doesn't make it perceptibly slower when browsing the web.

I did get into the Storm and I did like it. But in the end, for me at least, its still got too many downsides. I will look out for the Storm 2 and it may well be my next Blackberry!
