Default T-Mobile US: Pre Paid Data Service

Please Login to Remove!

Y have an unlocked 8300 with a T-Mobile pre-paid SIM; the network icon shows as edge and I have no data service. I also have an at&t pre-paid SIM and with it I do get access to data services (medianet).

How can I get data on the pre-paid t-mobile service?

A data plan and a Blackberry data plan are totally different.

You need a Blackberry data plan to use data.

AFAIK, no US carrier has a pay as you go BB data plan, yet.

How can I get data on the pre-paid t-mobile service?

What you can do is go to any T-Mobile store and get any plan on a "month to month" (no contract)
if you run credit and you qualify, you can get a "Post Paid No Contract" meaning you would pay for your service after you use it.

if you don't want them to run credit, get a "Flex Pay" month to month plan, choose just about any voice plan and a BlackBerry data plan.. you are under no obligation to keep the service... it is about the closest thing you will get to prepaid.
With the Flex Pay plan, you have to pay your first month of service at the time of activation..

hope this helps.

Wow! I have a Blackberry Data plan on FlexPay. I pay $34.99 for the Blackberry data plan (unlimited) and $39.99 for the phone plan. I hope that $65 covers both.

the card does say 600 Anytime Minutes, Unlimited Nights and Weekends, Unlimited Web... how many minutes do you get for your $39.99?

Does the blackberry monthly plan of 65 dollars include a voice & data plan? Also is the data unlimited? Number of anytime minutes?
