Default Is there a way to RESET my Storm???

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I just wanted to know is there a way to reset my Storm. I know I can hit the "power" button and turn the handheld off and on but I want to know if there is a way to, I guess the right term would be reboot like when you delete an app and it prompts you to restart? Is there a manual way to do that???

Thanks in advance

get the app QUICKPULL this should be in your app folder. You can even schedule the phone to reboot. Also you can take your battery out and reboot that way.

With the device on, remove the battery for 30 seconds or so, replace it and let the device reboot. This cures many ills.

Shutting off the BB with the power button doesn't reset it.
Lostman72 gave you an excellent response - Quickpull will do it.

Thanks guys - I just installed quickpull and yep it reboots the way I wanted it too - I assume that would STOP any app from running if there was one in the background using memory - next step, install this on my girlfriends Storm - as many games as shes got it has slowed down to a crawl, I'll go ahead and schedule a reboot for hers too -

Again thanks!!!

PS - I did see an app called BerryMeter, it cost 2.99 but I may look into it, monitors many areas of the phone AND reboots, just a thought.

I would stick with Quickpull. The price is right (free!!)and it just works.
All of our users have it on their Storms and swear by it.

Ok, next question. When the app memory drops to zero, Quickpull or Meterberry will not work to reset the device. Then what options do you have other than a real battery pull? I have a hard case on my BB Storm and its a pain pulling the whole thing off a couple times a day. Ouch! Thanks.

You may need to remove some apps that you don’t use that much? Also make sure after you use something to hit the BB button and close it or select exit when you are done. Well let us know if you need more info. I hope this helps

Interesting - I tried Quickpull and it seems to have one over on softreset. But why won't it perform scheduled resets when in the holster? Must be a good reason.
