Default WTF Can't make outgoing calls HELP!

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone...

just got a new ATT bold... unlocked it ... but no out going calls wtf? Help

The msg i get when doing an outgoing call is:

Call failed due to sim toolkit control error please try again later

then it says

sim:called barred "ok" press ok and nothing...

Everything else works: BBM facebook internet INCOMING calls txt msging

Im with Rogers... have an old sim card? could this be the issue? But i am browsing at 3G speeds....

Any help appreciated... love you guys!

If removing and replacing the SIM in the device does not work, I would recommend getting a SIM swap from Rogers.

yes, horizon wireless told me to debrand the phone/// going to do that now... its ATT branded like the browser and stuff and said that should do it will keep you guys posted

Erm...nothing is branded on the phone.
the browser is the browser no matter what carrier and is controlled by service books....

you should not need to debrand to get it to work and infact may brick your phone...

so what should i do?? he told me about some program which i totally forget now lol it was 3 letters and said that running this will make my outgoing calls work perfectly and that he had the same problem as before...

press green call button
menu - options
call barring
then check the "block outgoing calls" option and see what it says.
click menu and see if it has enable or disable as an option.

when i click call barring i get please wait then it says timeout waiting for network. please try again ... :(

Have you tried using this SIM in another phone? Seems like a SIM card issue to me.

I get please wait, and it finally gets to the screen.
if its network time out -ing you...sounds like a SIM problem

do you think so? i put my sim into a different unlocked bold from rim... and it works fine....

OMFG....

was reading this crackberry forum post said something about option>network settings select manually ... ROgers 2G came up clicked on it and it reset my phone and lost a lot of applications now!!!!!!crappppp no bbm no nothnig i still have my contacts, my last received calls and everything? Can some help me... should i upload new OS or something im running v4.6.0.167 (platform 4.0.0.157) lots my background lost my e-mails,bbm, facebook apps etc.... those don't really matter just wondering WHY it happened and HOW can i fix it so it goes back to what I had before everything working BUT outgoing calls...
