Not happy with this OS at all, device is much warmer than usual even when not in use. Battery life is severely degraded, battery will go from 100% to nearly dead in a matter of hours with little to no use (when in 3G). When radio is switched to EDGE battery life seems to be 'normal'

No the switch is for AT&T customers; at&t block the switch in all OS's previous to .282

Just upgraded to it, and included Chinese support into it as well, by including cod's from a .282 OS file.

Things seem a little bit faster. I tried going to mobile.blackberry.com, the Home Page in the BlackBerry bookmarks, and it says the device is not recognized. Worked before. No biggie.

Am I the only one having the TERRIBLE battery life issues when 3G is turned on? I had this issue with the other OS that allowed 3G/2G switching...

Yup. I installed this last night and noticed that my unit got a lot warmer than usual, and battery was eaten quite fast in just 8 hours.

Charged my battery today at 8:30am EST, it's now almost 6pm EST and the batter is still fully charged. Normally it would be down a bar by this time with the previous OS.

I initially performed a BB wipe with my device before upgrading the OS telling the DM to wipe everything, once the phone rebooted I did another wipe; this is the norm for me as I do it on every OS upgrade.

So far the after charging he battery 11.5 hours ago it's still holding it's charge and I haven't noticed my device getting any warmer.

I don't know if being on BES has anything to do with it either!?

A.

Unfortunately, can't say the same for me... By midday my battery was at 50%, yet I barely used the terminal for anything else than usual email traffic...

I downgraded back to .282

Not a fan of .282 either. I upgraded from .266 this week to see if I could fix some problems I was having with my speakerphone volume (turns out it was another fix) but I have been losing battery power like no other. It was much better with .266.

Looks like the new one is pretty bad. Maybe it's time to go all the way back down to .266!
