You really have BBM5 working on your Bold running 5.0.0.190? I had it working on .130, but was unable to get it running on .190. I can install the app (it appears in the Applications list), but I never get the icon. I had to uninstall it and then install 4.7 which came with .190. I've read several posts over on CrackBerry swearing that it doesn't work on this build.

I never use an icon, i just press the letter "N" and messenger comes up. You have to enable dial from home screen...I use all short cuts--no icons if I can help it..

Looks great...installed it last night and has been very stable ever since. The OS seems very peppy (browsing folders, running multiple programs, etc). So far all of my third paty apps work except App World...it won't let me download it either. The one glitch I've noticed is regarding charging. I use a charging cradle at night. After about 10 seconds in the cradle, I get a message that says that the USB adapter is not compatible and that I may have to install new drivers. I haven't figured out whether it allow it to charge anyway or not, though it blocks my clock! Otherwise, so far so good.

I don't have a cradle -- just use the PC USB cable when at my desk, and the wall-plug USB cable when at my bedside. Works fine under both scenarios. I also had reason to set up bedside mode last night: my two young kids were camping out in a friend's backyard last night and had a cell phone with them: I set up bedside mode to allow phone calls only -- so I wouldn't hear emails coming in all night, or weatherbug and berryweather alerts -- but I WOULD hear the phone call is one of my kids called to say, "come get us -- it's storming!". Worked just fine. I plugged the 8900 into the wall cord, the clock face popped up and the message appeared indicating that it was going into bedside mode: and the display faded to a very dim state and stayed that way until I took it off the cord this morning. Perfect!

After loading .190 my bold has started rebooting-rebooting-rebooting...is this a problem with the OS or is there something on my phone that I need to look at. I have had the bold since last November and this is the FIRST problem I have ever had and it all started after .190 upgrade.....Need some help if possible.

Did the update, am quite happy with it overall so far. UMA seems to work fine, I've noticed no real showstopper bugs with my daily use and all my apps loaded just fine! I'm not a facebooker so no problem there, and all my old apps loaded up fine. App world was lost in the translation..
Something I noticed, after the first load of 5.0 and initial boot of it, it hung at an application permissions screen. I did a Cap-Alt-Del to reboot it, and desktop manager continued to wait patiently for it to come back to life. Seems if I would have unplugged the USB cable or pulled the battery it would have said the restore failed. Just something for those out there that hang up during the install.
Quite impressed with the speed of the OS and all the nice features are welcome!
It also did give me a complaint about the charging cradle current being low, it worked fine after a few seconds of sitting there.

anybody had an issue with it locking up during a "Mark all read"? I tried it twice and had to pull the battery because it kept getting stuck.

I *think* I can live with this build for now. It definitely has bugs, and some are fairly serious (e.g., no voice dialing via bluetooth -- attempts cause an exception). But so far it seems usable enough so that I can actually use it for business, and still enjoy the new 5.x.x.x features. As long as it doesn't cause any serious work-related issues, I suspect I'll keep this until the next 5.x.x.x version appears. Hoping it works out, because I'm liking the new features.

Pressing "F" from the home screen won't bring up "Profiles" at all. That's the only thing that I don't like.
