Default Are the 8900 and 9630 trackballs the same?

cnn.cn shows the 8900/9630 OEM Black Trackball.

so if they are the same, are people having trackball issues on the 8900 Curves? People who say they fixed the issue by dropping a Pearl trackball would make me think these issues would be on both phones. The only other component appears to a trackball sensor pad that is unique to the 9630.

On 2nd thought it could've just been a batch of faulty trackballs that went into the initial production run of 9630s.

Users with 8900's have also had trackball issues. Same "symptoms" if you wanna call it (wont move to left, but right will, up down..whatever). Do a google search...youll find 8900 Curve users have also complained about the same thing. Maybe it wasnt as wide spread as the trackballs on the Tour's but thats all it is. Its the trackball on the Tours, not the Tour's.
