I have a 8350i with Nextel, but i don't have the BB Plan i only have a Regular Plan. So whee i install my SIM card into the Blackberry, Only work my Radio i can not use it as a phone,even i can send or received SMS.
Anybody can help me with this?
This BB was for my Mother but she don't want anymore and she pass me and i don't have money to increase the Plan that i have to a blackberry Plan.

I'm work as a Contractor an my phone is critical

What phone did your SIM come from? Have you tried a Master Radio Reset?

Don't think you need a special plan for the NEXTEL curve... but it does need to be active on the account to receive call/texts. Simply switching SIM's only gives you restricted use of the device.

I think on Motorola's the master radio reset is done by going to Menu - Settings - Advanced - Connectivity - Master Reset

On the 8350i, go to Options, Security Options, General Settings, Menu button, Master Radio Reset

You're going to need to go to a Sprint store or call in an ESN swap before the master reset.

Edit: Nextel is also having outages in South Texas area... close to Reynosa, Mexico today 8/31. Getting "Call Failed: System Busy Try Later 22"
