Default Potential Storm user!

Hi folks, as you can tell by the post count, I'm newer.

I'm looking to get either the Storm or the Curve and I'm leaning more towards the Storm through Verizon.

I have tried both of them in store and I enjoy and like both.

The big question I have is....

I have watched many many many video reviews and read reviews too(which they were all done around the release) and they're all very very down on the Storm. After reading here, it seems that a lot of the OS updates have fixed many of the problems that were pointed out.

So, after the Updates to the OS's and everything, how do you like your Storm, and what are some of the current, problems that are found with the Storm?

Also, what are some of the better basic apps that are available for the Storm? As far as browsers, media players, social networking, note taking for tasks...

Reason's picking Storm over Curve:
I do like the touch screen, I think it's pretty cool
Video pictures- I would like to take short video clips of my 3 month old son and send to family across the country. And 3.2mp compaired to 2
Texting - I am by no means a power texter...maybe 20-50 a day, and very short...mostly mooshy texts to the lady

Just need to find out what has been fixed and what are still some problems you users who have had the phone for a while encounter I will be keeping the phone for a while even with the Storm 2 coming out due to the fact that I am new to BB's and need to learn everything, and I'm sure the Storm 2 will be buggy and get better as time goes on much like the Storm.

Thanks folks...hope you can help...gotta place my order tomorrow AM

ill go with the storm im lovethe phone its basically replace my ipod and i see youmentioned you wanted it to record small clips of your son, i do the same with my daughter and the image is superb i would have never thought such clarity can be possible with a phone but what do i know my last phone was a razor so i hop from a prepaid nokia to a razor to a storm so my experience in phone aint much, i guess i just came to brag about the storm. ill stop ranting since i feel like im doing somebody job that actually gets a paycheck for talking about the storm lol

I think you'll like the Storm on the latter OS releases.
I'd recommend it ... you have 30 days to decide, so it's worth the gamble.

There must be something wrong with my Storm. It works great and I love it.

Since it seems .151 isn't around and or doesn't work with a 9530 (if i understand the threads correctly) what is the most stable OS out there?

And anyone else having any problems with these phones?

.151 is the most stable, I think. It is around, see the Sticky thread at the top of the 9500 section.

After that, I'd go for .148
