Default Storm Hard Case

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone make a hard case for the Storm? I am looking for a hard plastic "box" style case that protects the entire phone -- including the screen. When I had a Palm I used this case: Palm Treo Hard Case Review

Does anyone make something like this for the Storm?

I actually looked at them online. How tough is the clear protector that is over the screen?

The clear protector over the screen almost feels like plexiglass so it's a tough as you can get without imacting functionality. If you want protection it's the only way to go. There is nothing I have seen that is in the same league.

So can you use the touch screen while the phone is in the otter box or do you need to open the box to use the touch screen?

I currently am using the Innocase II as well. Its a great case. I have ordered an Otterbox though, its supposed to be here Friday. I'll let you know what I think but I wanted the "total protection" too because some of my activities outside of work are a bit more ruff and tumble. I plan on using the Innocase for work and Otterbox on the weekends.

I currently have the Seido Flexarmor case and like it. However, I need something tougher. Basically, I want to be able to chuck my phone into a gym bag and not worry about it getting smashed.

Foster -- please let me know about the Otterbox once you get it in hand. Thanks!

No, you don't have to open the case to make it work. You simply press on the Otterbox's clear cover just like you would the bare Storm.

Did you get your Otterbox? I am curious what your impressions are.

I found another thread talking about the Otterbox and it seems that some people were having issues with their voices sounding muffled. Any problems with this?

Default Monaco Aluminum Hard Case

you might try the Monaco Aluminum Hard Case for the Blackberry Storm. It looks very similar to the treo's hard case -- I had one too. Try looking at shopcrackberry.com

I owned a otterbox when I have a Bold 9000. It was a very tough, sleek looking case for its size. I have big hands so it was not biggie for me, but it bulks up your device, is kind of heavy and makes the device size larger and a tad heavier. I have a Storm now and would love to have an otterbox for it if it could fit extended batteries (I gotta have that extra power daily).

I had an 8300 for two years in an Otterbox. I dropped it numerous times, used it in the rain, etc. I have a storm now and have the Defender waiting at home to put it on. As a Police Officer that uses his phone for work purposes, there isn't a better protective case made. The Defender series doesn't add any water protection, but its still a very rugged case. If it can keep my phone safe for 2 years it is good for anyone. I have dropped it 10 feet before with no damage to the phone. (could have been luck, but the case helped.)

LOL...Sleek doesn't belong in the same sentence as Otterbox! A great case, yes, but never ever been sleek.

Just got an Otterbox today, I've been used to carrying the Storm around bare for so long that it feels a bit foreign but I've dropped my Storm a few times due to butterfinger syndrome so I decided to go heavy duty. I like that it comes off easily which is key for me since I use the desktop charger at night and also the Bury cradle in my truck, both of which will only accept a naked Storm.

MLP141,

Other than my Phantom Skinz clear skin protector, I have a bare Storm. It has survived quite well in my gym bag for the entire period of ownership.

For some reason, BB neglected to include a tether eyelet in the Storm design. This is a big oversight on their part.
