i just recently received a new blackberry bold because the one i had was faulty....when adding my bbm contacts, nobody re3ceives my PIN requests...also i noticed that it says edge in the top right and not EDGE

have you used the change device option in BIS to enter the new phones PIN and IMEI?

Also you should double check with your provider that your BlackBerry data plan is still active.

Yeah, if in the upper corner the thing is lower case, that means either, data is not working currently, or you do not have a data plan active.
