This download is from Telus Mobility but will work on ANY carrier's 8350i model BB. (Not 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330)

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

oh, wow. I get a text message notifying me of new voice mail messages that also includes the total number of voicemails that I have.
My phone also seems to boot up a slight bit faster.

when pressing the push-to-talk button, it brings up a list of all of your PTT contacts allowing you to check multiple names for I suppose group calls.

Here in Brazil this update makes the 8350i receive SMS with identification of the sender. Until now this did not happen, just do not know who sent the SMS

I have 2 questions: 1) I´ve heard something about version 303. is that true? I´ve tried to find it at na.blackberry.com without success. 2) After the upgrade to version 294 my screen during the call or during a direct connect shows the information from other person compacted at the left side with only 4 or 5 colummns so I cannot fully identify who´s calling. Is this something we need to wait another update or can we correct it anyway? Thanks.

Seem to be alot of issues with .294? My address book is all jacked up. A battery pull will get it back for a little while and then ka-pow...
