Default No pin?

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone tell me what might be wrong when a user has no pin on the device?

THe PIN is like a MAC address right? I figure the unit is broke and needs to be sent back but I wanna make sure.

Every device has to have a pin, it is what identifies each BB and can not be changed. The PIN on my 8700c is on the label under the battery, I believe that is true of all BBs.

I have never seen a BlackBerry without a PIN. If you goto Options -> Status, does it display the PIN there?

mitch is right..all BB's should have it on the label underneath the battery...i've seen issues with PIN"s getting orphaned, but that is usually only with bwc accounts and needs to be corrected with RIM, but they get lost on the network side, they should never disappear from the device.

It is possible the device left RIM without a PIN, usually it would be all FF's if that is the case(I know I wrote the S/W that programs the PINs to the device ;) ).
