On my first Storm 2, which was a 9550 from Verizon (unlocked on T-Mobile), I only needed a password with a minimum length of 4 characters. However, my 9520 (unlocked as well), requires 5 characters.

I have the same password settings on both phones. The same encryption level as well. Neither is on my exchange account.

Are you asking why or just making a statement about it....I honestly can't tell.

The reason there is a difference may be the OS installed on each device. Perhaps a newer version OS requires it (which means there's no setting you can changed to make it like the old one).

I really did intend to ask a question however I was typing on my 9520 and I had to make a correction or two. It looks like the last sentence that I meant to have copied and pasted didn't make it...fun stuff, eh?
