Default Yahoo Email Icon

Please Login to Remove!

For some reason the special icon for my Yahoo mailbox keeps reverting to a regular mailbox icon on my 9700. This special icon always appeared on my 8900. Has anyone else experienced this? I've tried resending the service books and it worked last time but it has reverted to a regular icon and resending them didn't bring it back this time.

Same here. I'm using .545 and a today theme.

I'm running .405 and a Today theme. It has worked in the past though.

I don't have a today theme... but I do have this issue since I moved from the 9000 to the 9700.

Same thing, resent service books, worked for a day or so, and we're back to the generic icon.

I did Push Service Books and this fixed the issue for me.

I tried that too. Seemed to work once or twice, but wasn't permanent. Now, doesn't seem to work at all.

Wirelessly posted (9700)

I found that it wasn't coming back by just resending the service books. However I rebooted earlier today and it did reappear. Not sure how long it will last.

Happens to me too. Every now and then the icons will appear (I have some homemade custom ones for some other email accounts too), like after a reboot, and then disappear again. I stopped worrying about it after a while

Surprisingly I have had almost the opposite effect on my bold. I bought it a month or so ago and have had 2 yahoo email addresses and neither of them had the yahoo icon until a day or so ago. Out of the clear blue I looked at my phone and both icons magically were yahoo icons. Its been the same since despite many hard resets using quickpull, which by the way does not automatically reset my bold since using OS 5.0. Very strange.

Thumbs up Fixed it!

I was having the same problem.

Instead of adding the account via web; I wen to the setup via the bb: blackberry.com/yahoo/mail. If you have the account already setup, dont delete it; just navigate to it, click on edit and save.
Then re-send service books from bb browser and boom! my Yahoo icon is showing in the screen again.

Been at this for quite a while and finally got it.
